Scholastic’s new Sing-Along Travel Kit features The Wheels On The Bus but that’s not all: it’s got 15 stories on two DVDs, 13 songs on CD, and activity booklet – with crayons – and a travel tips booklet for parents. I’m actually sad that my kids are too old for this kit, because I know when they were younger they would have enjoyed watching, listening and singing along.
I’m going to tell you a secret too: the list of stories on the DVD includes Giles Andreae’s Giraffe’s Can’t Dance. I love kids books and I’m a fan of many authors and animators but Gerald the Giraffe will always be one of my very favorites. It’s such a great story told in Andreae’s comical rhyming style. There’s plenty of other great stories on this DVD, but this one is my top pick of the selection.
