An Evening Of Wine And Travel

Wine and Travel are two of my favorite subjects. Spending an evening talking about traveling with children over a glass (or two) of wine with friends old and new sounds to me like a recipe for a good night out. Are you interested in joining in? You’d be more than welcome and we’ll have a glass of wine, appetizers, a gift bag and excellent door prizes to share with you just for dropping by. (Your ticket price of $22 also gets you a copy of my book, Traveling With Kids).

What: Mom’s Night Out: Sip And Plan Your Summer Trip [purchase tickets]

Where: Woodmark Hotel Yacht Club and Spa, Kirkland, Washington

When: 6pm, June 3rd, 2010

Who: I’ll be there with my friends Debbie Dubrow of DeliciousBaby, Anne Taylor Hartzell of HipTravelMama and Lora Shinn of CascadiaKids to hear and answer your questions.

Personally, I think this is a great group of people to have on hand to answer any family travel question. Between us we have a wealth of information and experience about traveling with kids from infant to teen, internationally and domestically, locally in the Pacific Northwest and covering a variety of styles from bare-bones budget (that would be me) to exclusive luxury resorts. We’ll have some of the most frequent questions which we get as moms who travel and write about travel ready to share with you but we’re really eager to hear your questions and help you plan the perfect trip this coming summer.

There are a limited number of spaces available, so get your tickets early!

Many thanks to the Woodmark for hosting this event.

About wandermom

". . .life is short and the world is wide" - Simon Raven I'm not sure I've ever consciously planned a trip based on this sentiment, but it definitely influences my subconscious! I've been traveling as frequently and widely as possible since I finished school. And I love it. I love the research, the planning, the fervent packing and the curiosity of exploring somewhere I've never been before. My husband & I are both Irish - as in born-in-Ireland. But we live in Seattle. We have two boys: wild, boisterous, regular boys. So, since becoming a Mom, I've been a WanderMom. Given our slightly-unusual family situation, routine "visits-to-Grandma" are international trips requiring passports, 10hr-flights and (oh joy!) airport transfers. I have rants, raves and opinions about how, where & why to travel with kids (start them as young as you can, I say!). I hope to learn even more by researching topics which other wandermoms may be interested in reading about on this blog. Passports, pacifiers, diapers and gameboys at the ready - off we go! love the concept! I will be in Vancouver that day getting ready to take a seaplane over to Clayoquot Wilderness Resort for 3 nights, that I won at Travel Mart! So close, but so far away. I think I might start something like this in Naples this summer! thanks for the idea!
