This is why the Pacific Northwest is stunning during the summer months. When the sun shines, we get spectacular sunsets with flaming colors reflected over lakes and mountains.
This photo was taken at the marina at Carillon Point in Kirkland, WA looking west towards Seattle and the Olympic Mountains.

Must go to the Pacific NW, soon. Great shot and colours.
Nice shot, is that a wide angle or fisheye lens? You are so right about the summer skies in the Pacific Northwest. The silhouetted Olympics against an orange sky are forever imprinted in my mind’s eye.
Stunning shot! Looks peaceful.
GORGEOUS photo!! wow, it makes me happy.
It’s such a shame that we can’t enjoy this for more than 2 months during the year! But I guess it’s what makes being here so special – the rarity of these moments (or at least that’s what we tell outsiders – HA HA!).
THat’s a great shot. It seems to jump out at you!
Always wanted to visit the far Northwest. It’ll have to wait but we’ll get there eventually
Yup, the Pacific northwest is on my bucket list!
