Reading on Vacation
Posted on | May 14, 2009 | 8 Comments

Earlier this week, I wrote about our stay in Akumal, Mexico in 2006. This photo was taken one evening on that trip while I was reading aloud to BigB – I think we were reading from a chapter book from the Secrets of Droon series. I love how the colorful tile in our apartment stands out against the white walls and tiles.
You can tell that we’re enjoying the moment and that our oh-so-white Irish/Seattle skin has been enjoying the warmth of the Mexican sun – just count those freckles 🙂

Where’s your Kindle??? Looks like you got to enjoy some of the great weather there before heading back to a NW spring!

The colorful tiles are also one of my favorite parts about Mexico. Being able to share an enjoyable read, amidst that setting, sounds terrific!

One of the things I always love about vacation is the fact that I usually get a little more uninterrupted reading time…my favorite way to chill in the late afternoon or after a busy day.
Great that you guys had time to enjoy the same thing during your Mexican trip
